Phantm is a gamechanging biomaterials enterprise founded on innovative technical solutions to two complex problems: Food Waste and Petrochemical Plastics. YARN Australia engaged Futurekind for strategy, production and campaign management for its Redfern Waterloo Aboriginal Social & Affordable Housing campaign - petitioning for minimum housing standards as the home of the Aboriginal community in Sydney gets redeveloped. YARN has also engaged Futurekind across many of its other campaigns and initiatives over the years, including helping to produce NAIDOC Week events and its Macleay Valley Aboriginal Community Controlled Forums.

The Redfern Waterloo Aboriginal Affordable Housing Campaign is a campaign to increase the amount of affordable housing for Aboriginal people in Redfern and Waterloo, New South Wales. The campaign's goal is to prevent the displacement of the local Aboriginal community.

Campaign goals:

  • Increase the amount of affordable housing for Aboriginal people

  • Prevent the displacement of the local Aboriginal community

  • Preserve the Aboriginal community's spiritual home.

Campaign Actions:

  • Holding meetings to discuss developments in the area

  • Working with local MPs and the City of Sydney council

  • Advocating for a commitment to 10% Aboriginal housing in all government developments in the area.

Campaign Impact:

The state government committed to a minimum allocation of 7.5% Aboriginal housing in the Waterloo Estate redevelopment.

Flow Hive engaged Futurekind for a review and update to its marketing strategy & planning. Futurekind then worked within the team as an interim Marketing Lead to manage production and media across digital assets and campaigns. Flow Hive is a company that makes beehives and aims to be sustainable, ethical and regenerative. As an internationally renowned Australian brand, Flow Hive is a certified BCorp and supports beekeeping communities, educates people about bees and protects pollinator habitats.
