It's been a hot Summer, and it has gone in a flash. In fact, 2018 is already setting a cracking pace... We'd better take a moment to look back at where we've come!
September 2017 The Spring Edition
Thanks for taking a moment to skim through what we’ve been cooking up at Futurekind in the last three months. We’re having fun developing and introducing new products, tackling new clients and client challenges and doing our bit to make a positive impact with communities and companies we love.
SUMO Salad SPRING campaign
SUMO is on a mission to help create a happier, healthier Australia with its new Spring Campaign, THIS IS HOW I FLEX.
Our Agency Challenge: To bring the ‘FLEXITARIAN’ trend to life in a celebration of our individual choices for WELLBEING. Moving fast, Futurekind was given a week, to write, produce and direct three 60 second TVCs and three 15 second TVCs to deploy through social media.
Less than a week later, Commando Steve (Biggest Loser), Erin Holland (former Miss World Australia) and Dr Zac Turner (TODAY Show medical expert) joined us at our partner Shuffle Media's studio to tell each of their interesting stories of regime and lifestyle. Shot in 12 production designed locations, we shot 16 scenes directing two DOPs, a production designer, a food stylist, a photographer, 3 influencers and 4 SUMO stars to produce video and stills to drive the SUMO Spring campaign. We’ve just launched their media campaign, and SUMO are already seeing great results! Check out the work below….
HEMP Foods Australia
What an extraordinary journey Hemp food has been on! With Hemp Foods packaging that reads “fit for human consumption where permissible”, the Australian government has finally got around to legalising one of the most nutritious foods on the planet (on November 12th 2017, save the date!).
Coming on board as a client of Futurekind, we have the privilege of working with Hemp Foods Australia to launch this great source of health and well-being. Not limited to revamping their website (coming soon!), and designing all new packaging, we’re helping them launch a whole new brand. (Watch this space!) It’s going to be big… and tasty… try some!
Passionate about the circular economy, Future kind continues to work with RecycleSmart APP to help them connect with communities and councils to reduce waste to landfill, turn waste into things and cut council costs. Check out the explainer animation we wrote and produced for them last month.

Teaming up with our experiential technologies partner and Northern Beaches Council, we’re celebrating the launch of Sydney’s leading entertainment technology incubator, Shuffle Media. Pushing the envelope in architectural video mapping, interactive technologies, animation and soundscape design, they also provide an artful, modular studio for photo and video production. Futurekind will also be presenting our recent work with Shuffle Media, in their studio space and in collaboration. Founder Seb Berry brought on a new partner in Brett Elliott to shake things up a bit. Since then, as a team we’ve developed a new look website, some new products, brought in new clients, and produced some outstanding work. Brett is a commercialisation, communications and marketing expert, who also happens to be a sharp shooter writer and producer (video and events). A former senior communications planner at Zenith Optimedia, lecturer at the JMC Academy, Associate Producer at Channel [V] HK and offer document writer for several growth phase business incubators, Brett has a killer set of skills and talents for an artful, impact and outcome driven Agency. Futurekind being a B-Corp was an added bonus for Brett, who has 20 years experience advocating for social and environmental change that serves people and planet; and continues to do the same in his role at Futurekind.

Futurekind donates 10% of profits to charity and not-for-profits every year.
Futurekind works to provide the best digital capability for businesses and organisations who trying to change the world for good. To also help support the continuing work of charities both locally and abroad, we also like to give a little extra back.
We divide this evenly between 10 charities of different size and across a range of areas. Each year we will select a new set of great local and international initiatives to provide our support.
The Social Good Summit 2016 asked the question “What type of world do I want to live in by the year 2030?” to both coincide with and expand on the conversations from the September meeting of the United Nations General Assembly. The focus of the Summit is to discuss how we find solutions for the greatest challenges of our time: how to end poverty, fix climate change and tackle inequalities.
